Intro to Fractions

Here is a presentation that room 4 Maths class has been working on. This is about Fractions, my class didn't finish this because we didn't have to to finish so we had to publish this sorry for the mistakes I will fix them and please enjoy my Work.

Waka Padlet

Paper Mache

Today Room 5 Has been working how to make Paper Mache. How do you make it?  Well me and my Class has been making these cool things with Miss Berry. Miss Berry told us the steps and as we went through them it go easier and easier. So Here are the steps if you want to make one of these cool Paper Mache.

What you Need:
Wool Strings
PVA Glue
Balloon
Lolly
Any Treats

Steps:
Step 1: Get your Lolly or Treat and stuff them inside your Balloon
Step 2: Blow your Balloon, but make sure its a size of your to fist together
Step 3: Then you get your Wool string and stick it inside the PVA Glue and just wrap it around your balloon.
Step 4: Once you have done that you need to hang your balloon and to leave it to dry
Step 5: When it is dry the String will be hard and now you have to pop the balloon and it will become a Paper Mache

So yeah here it what we made so far but we didn't get to pop our balloon because we have to leave it and dry it. Here is a Picture of our Paper Mache. Please enjoy and Comment

Kindness Talk (Attitude)

On Wednesday We had this really Cool Inspirational Guy who came to talk to the Yrs 7 & 8's about Attitude, and this cool guy that I am telling you about is called Nate. He probably works for this Attitude Work to talk to children's from all schools and to give inspirational talks to them. He talks to us about who we were and also what we are in life.

He Tell's us lots of different funny things and also things that he didn't really wanted to do but wanted to earn something really cool. So he told us a story about this cool Jacket, and this cool Jacket had really got into Nate he was in high school and he saw these cool kids Wear these Jacket. Nate wanted one of those so he signed up for a jacket and unfortunately you have to play for the school Hockey Team and Nate did not know any of these he just signed himself up for the Jacket.

Later on he went to the game and was suppose to wear these uniform and he had a Hockey stick with him. He didn't know what to do at first. The game has started and Nate didn't know what to do so he grabbed his stick and just went for it. Nate told us that Hockey wasn't his thing and he also told us that he just signed up just for a Stupid Jacket.

This other thing that Nate has also told us was these 4 characters and those 4 characters was the Golden Retriever the Peace Calm one, The Otter which is the Fun Crazy one, The Lion which is a Mean bossy one that wanted things his or her way and last but not least was the Beaver, beaver is the one that does things right and is also the one that does homework so most likely the Nerd.

Nate has told us which one are we and what I have thought to myself and friends was that I have to be a Otter the Fun and Crazy one and my Friends also thinks that I am the Lion which is kind of true. So yeah those are the things that Nate has told us about and I really enjoyed it.

Revolution Tour

Revolution Tour has arrived to PES (Pt England School.)  The Yrs 7 & 8's went over to the school hall and saw these bunch of people and they looked like they were going to sing and also going to teach us something really cool. We went inside the hall and we saw people from the Revolution Tour give out notes, and these notes had really cool things on them we can buy tickets to go and see there tickets on Friday Night.

There was this one MAN named Reggie he is a man that probably likes to tell jokes, the man that LOVES music and the man who loves to play on a Trumpet. Reggie told us this Chant, and this chant means to believe in ourselves, succeed and achieve our goals and our destiny. Reggie said here is the Chant '' I CAN / YOU CAN / WE CAN / I Got Your Back. 

Reggie was a talented guy he even played songs with these two amazing twin sisters that could sing. If I got the video of them singing and playing I would show you guys and trust me your mind will be exploded. So Reggie performed us his talented songs and he told us this really sad story. It was about his mum, Reggie had a Brother and 2 Sisters his mum took his brother and also his 2 sisters, but not him (Reggie) and yes he was  a foster kid. As soon as he told us that story and that made me think of my Mum, I was going to cry but luckily I had my best friends beside me telling me its alright. But overall this song made me cry and that song was called '' 1 call away.''

So yeah that's what we did for the day and what I,v liked through out the whole Tour was there Passion, there Singing and there Reggie's Talented Trumpet.

Here is a Doc about what we saw last Week Tuesday. What I've learnt from this whole thing was to always be ourselves and we can do whatever we want to do but just as long as we work hard. I hope you enjoy my work. Please leave a comment.

Sorority Netball Yr 8 Video

Hello guys,
The video that you are about to watch is something that my Netball team has been working on. This Video is about Positive.Sideline.Behaviour. So every other netball teams will be making videos about  Positive.Sideline.Behaviour and its a challenge. So whoever has the best video than they get to go to the Auckland city Hotel and sleep there for 1 night and they also get to go to this Wendy Burger Bar place, and last but not least they get to meet and watch the Mystics netball Team. So hopefully we get a chance to win or we at least try and make it to the finals. Fingers cross to the people who is out there and also PRAY for Sorority Netball Team. Livewires Netball Club

Today 14 of May Saturday, It was time for my Netball club game. I was at home waiting for my dad and brother to come and pick me up. I went to get ready and just before hey arrived I prayed to god that I will play hard and that I will do my best. My dad was here, I hopped inside the car and we swooshed our way out of the driveway and straight to the courts. My game started and 2.00 clock, my team has arrived to the courts the game was going to start in 2 minutes. We got into our positions, I was WA and " 3 2 1" it was time the ref blew the whistle and and there we go playing. "Come On Rowana" that's all I could here from the Sideline.

My couch was telling us to get ready, We played so well but of course we had to keep up to the scores we had to work on our bunching and especially our passes. After a few minutes later is was time for the second quarter and I was going to have a rest as Sub. 

The game has started and I was watching the girls play. They were good I could that they were running out of gas but luckily I started cheering for them "Come on girls you can do it just believe in yourself." We got more goals then the last one which was good. 

Later on it was the last quarter I couldn't keep up with my partner. I passed the ball and there was only 1 more minute left until the game ends. I caught the ball and the sideline people was counting down from "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 I quickly passed the ball and everyone of our team said "SHOOT" this girl named Rhoda shot the ball in and it was like we were going in slow motion. " 3, 2 , 1, and there goes the time we got the goal but unfortunately we lost buy 3 or 4 points.

It was a pretty close game but at least we tried our best and we worked as a Team. "Good Girl" said my Dad I was proud of myself.

Immersion Assembly 2016

Yesterday was a New day, Yesterday was the start of Term 2. In morning all students from Pt England School arrived at school. The Topic for this term was called As I see It. Pt England school walked there way to the school hall and was seated down. On the corner of my eye I could see teachers in all different kinds of costume, like team 4 teachers they are wearing Super Hero Costumes and Team 5 there are wearing our house colors Hokule'a, Hikianalia, Hinemoana, Te Aurere. Pt England school had there school Immersion Assembly. Mrs Nua said that it was time for Team 1 teachers to show us what they,v done. At first there was this short film that Mrs George showed us it was a film about there favorite things like Mrs Wild's favorite things is her chiwawa and her cute cat. So that what the year 1 is going to learn about through out this whole Term.

Now it was time for Team 2. What has the teachers been up to?, The teachers has presented there film and this time it was about the season, Autumn, Spring, Summer and of course Winter. So this term years 2 and 3 will be learning about the Season. It was time for Team 3, Team 3 has showed us what they built and what they built was a tent they described what it looked like and they also put things into place like the bathroom and the kitchen, so that what Team 3 is going to learn about. So now it was time for the amazing Team 4. Team 4 will be learning about Comic Art. There video was about superheroes saving each other from this super thief called Baxendine. So Team 4 will be learning about Comic Art.

"And Here comes the Amazing team 5"  as we were sitting down our teachers walked there selves down to the stage and was wearing the colors of our houses, Green, Blue, Yellow and red. They were talking about what the color means like Green, means something like she will be guided by the Ancestors, and the color Blue means about the great blue Ocean. Yellow means the great bright Stars and last but not least Red, Red means the tears of blood. So that's what the yrs 7 and 8 will be talking about. So later on that time the Immersion assembly has finished. 

I enjoyed watching all of the Teams present there show. They really worked as a team. So I really Enjoyed watching them and I also want to thank Mrs Sandler and Mrs Garden for helping us we couldn't of done this without you.
